1. Lara Crofts outfit in the film immediatly shows her legs, in which she interestingly has a gun holster attached. Her body is therefore objectified straight away, with shots regularly occuring in that area as she gets her guns out.
Furthermore, in the first fight sequence with the robot, she is thrown to the floor. The robot goes to punch near her legs but she opens her legs. I highly doubt that this was put in to show her gymnatic abilities rather than the sexual connotations.
2. Croft's legs are often objectified and shot in a way to please the audinece sexually. For example, one of the shots is shot behind he legs as she stands, revealing the robot in the forground.
3. Once again, 'chicks with guns' is apparent as she has a piostol in each hand, in which she bleeds the ammo dry in no time.
4. Unlike T1+2 or Alien, Her body is objectified in the shower. This scene would be aesthetically pleasing for the male audience. Additionally, Alex (Daniel Craig) is also shown in a very similar scene, as he gets out of the shower. At this piont he is objectfied as he has no t-shirt on. This would therefore be aesthetically pleasing for the female audience. This helps the film to widen its audience to male and female.
5. Croft objects to wearing a dress after her shower, showing that she doesn't want to be feminine. At the end of the film she does wear a dress, in which the butler reveals her double pistols to suggest they like her as she was, an 'action chick'. Rejection to femininity, wearas, in Alien, or T2 ans openess to masculinity.
6. At one stage she rides a bike, arguably something men use more than women, she drives it fast. It seems reminicent to the 'Wanted' car chase i mentioned in the anaylsis. Furthermore, she then puts her feet up in the auction, very rebellious. Her oputfit here consists of a leather jacket and glasses. Almost like she's a dominatrix.
